Mark Phillips

Mark Phillips is the Founder and Managing Partner of 11 Tribes Ventures. In his role, he leads the firms efforts around sourcing and investing while also supporting the 11 Tribes portfolio companies with their strategic initiatives, go-to-market strategy, financial analysis, and fundraising. Prior to launching 11 Tribes, Mark was a strategy consultant, focused on M&A between corporations and growth stage startups. He actively supported clients throughout the due diligence and post-merger integration processes on deals totaling more than $750M. Mark earned his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, concentrating on entrepreneurial finance and strategic management. He is also an adjunct professor of finance at Wheaton College. He lives in the western suburbs of Chicago with his wife Emily and two boys Jackson and Hank.
