Jordan Fliegel is a tech entrepreneur and investor, focused on the sports industry. Fliegel is currently Managing Director of the Techstars Sports Accelerator, which he launched in 2019. Techstars Sports invests $120k/company in 13 startups annually, and provides mentorship, office space and hands-on support. The accelerator has 40+ portfolio companies, including Ergatta, which raised $30M at a $200M valuation in 2021.
Fliegel is an investor in over 200 startups over the last decade throughFounders First, a vertical-agnostic early-stage angel fund and syndicate he co-founded with Jeremy Levine, with high profile early investments in now unicorn companies like Carta and Ramp. Fliegel is also an investor and serves on the Advisory Board of several high growth startups including FightCamp, Botkeeper and BallerTV.
Fliegel was previously co-CEO ofDraft.com("DRAFT"), a venture-backed fantasy sports company headquartered in NYC. In 2017, he sold DRAFT for $48M to Paddy Power Betfair. Before Draft, Fliegel was Founder and CEO (now Chairman) ofCoachUp.com, America's leading sports coaching platform with over 15,000 coaches, backed by $14M in venture- capital and headquartered in Boston.NBA MVP Stephen Curry is Fliegel's partner and the lead spokesman at CoachUp.
Fliegel has been involved in sports beyond the startup world, having previously played professional basketball in Israel (2008-2010), led a group that bought a double-double-digit minority stake in theANBL 4X Champion New Zealand Breakers and as the author of "Coaching Up!" (Wiley & Sons, 2016, with a forward by NBA Champion Shane Battier).
