Haywood Christopher Owens
For over fourteen incredible years, I was a pro basketball player. I’ve been fortunate but worked hard. I played in the NBA for the Milwaukee Bucks and Memphis Grizzlies. I also played pro ball in Europe as well. I’ve traveled and lived all over the world. In my travels, my interest in real estate grew; I gained a strong appreciation and knowledge for real estate, art, and design – my mother is an accomplished interior designer and my sister, an Emmy award-winning journalist. Fun fact: I am also the great nephew of track-and-field star Jesse Owens, who won four gold medals at the 1936 Berlin Olympics! Fifteen years ago, and numerous locations later, I landed back in Dallas. I bought a home and completed a full restoration on my own. I spent a lot of my life here, went to school in Texas at UT Austin, studied history, and gave it my all, on the court, in the classroom, and for my community.
