Dr. Cheri L. Bradish

Dr. Cheri L. Bradish is an industry leader and pioneer in sport business education, with areas of expertise in sport business innovation, sport marketing, and women in sport leadership. In the area of sport business innovation, she established the first North American industry-facing sport tech program - The Next Big Idea in Sport - in partnership with Rogers Communications. She currently is the Founder and Managing Director of the Future of Sport Lab (FSL), a sport innovation lab and sport tech incubator first launched in partnership with Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (MLSE) and broadly supported by the Canadian venture and sport ecosystem, including recent premier partners Canadian Tire/Jumpstart. To date, FSL has incubated nineteen sport tech companies which have gone on to raise over $75 million (CA) since graduating from the program. She is also the Ted Rogers Director of Sport Business at the School of Management (TRSM) which she joined in 2013 as the Loretta Rogers Research Chair in Sport Marketing; coming from Brock University where she spent sixteen years at the Founding Professor of their Department of Sport Management. Bradish has considerable consulting and work experience with a number of leading sport organizations, including the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC)/Vancouver Olympic Organizing Committee (VANOC), Nike Canada and the Vancouver Grizzlies (NBA) as well as has participated and published in premier sport business conferences and outlets throughout North America and globally. She was won awards at multiple universities for her teaching, research, and service, much in acknowledgement of her contributions to the sport management community. Bradish has served on a number of Boards, including the Canadian Olympic Committee, Canada Games Council, Canadian Women & Sport, and espnW Canada. She is a proud alumna of Florida State University and the University of Guelph - where she was a member of the Gryphons Varsity Volleyball team (TMU Communications, 2023).
