Andrew Steinberg is the Managing Partner and Founder of Phoenix Capital Ventures (PCV) an early-stage venture firm partnering with companies in the sports, gaming, human performance and immersive media industries. He has a long track record of success growing and operating sports and entertainment properties with the NBA, MLS, NCAA, Nike and others. Prior to launching Phoenix Capital Ventures, Andrew served as Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer for the Atlanta Hawks’ NBA franchise and Philips Arena, after rising from Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer for the organization. Before joining the Hawks, he served as Executive Vice President, Business Operations for Sporting Kansas City and the venue, Sporting Park. Andrew also served as the Associate Athletics Director for Marketing and Revenue Development in the University of Kansas Athletics Department. Prior to his time at KU, he was an associate with the law firm of Riling, Burkhead & Nitcher and had a successful exit as a founder. Andrew earned bachelor’s degrees in media arts and political science from the University of Arizona. He went on to earn a Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law, where he also received a certificate in Media, Law and Policy. Andrew lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife and two children.
