Some of the highlights from a fantastic day of learning at the Core Sponsorship stage.
September 17th saw some of the leading minds in commercial partnerships take to the Core Sponsorship stage for One-Zero 2019.
Among them were world-leading sponsorship consultant Kim Skildum-Reid, fresh off a plane from Australia, as well as Director of Sports Technology for Microsoft, Mike Downey, and SVP Sales for Fenway Sports Management, John Clark.
In a day full of insights, here are some of our highlights from the four stage sessions.
Session 1. Kim Skidum-Reid: Disruptive Sponsorship – Like Disruptive Marketing, Only Better.
‘Best practice sponsorship is a balance between analysis and creativity’
Session 2. Jordan Udko (EVP Commercial Partnerships at Cloud 9) – Building a Lasting Brand Legacy in Esports.
‘No two partnerships at Cloud 9 are the same. What matters to our fans are partnerships that add real value to them.’
Session 3. Ben Cronin (Global Head, Publicis Sport & Entertainment) – The Power of Athlete Related Influence in Sponsorship.
‘If I’m honest, at the moment I think athletes are seriously undervaluing the value of engagement they can drive for brands.’
Session 4. Kim Skildum-Reid: How Brands Can Achieve the Most Impactful Cross-Functional Partnerships.
‘The best sponsors in the world use sponsorship as a catalyst to add value to everything else they are already spending their money on.’
These are just the cherry on the cake! A massive thanks to everybody who came along to the sponsorship stage, and in particular to our partner, Core Sponsorship for helping to drive the content on stage.
We can’t wait to do it all over again.
