If you’re trying to describe CMO of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Julian Duncan to somebody, the first word that pops to mind is inspirational.
The man has taken an incredible career path (full of learning) to the top of the sports marketing world – from playing professional American Football, to working in a call-centre, before eventually pursuing a career in marketing which led him to Nike, Under Armour and now the Jags.
Julian is now considered one of sports leading marketers, and as he will admit himself, he has found his way to the top through passion, energy and forging meaningful relationships.
In his keynote for One-Zero 2019, Julian touched on his career trajectory, his time at Nike working with the likes of Lebron James, and some of the innovative strategies he’s currently driving with the Jaguars. The core of his discussion, however, was focused around the importance of inclusion in the workplace to spark innovation. It’s a principle he has built his career on, and one which certainly resonated with the One-Zero audience.
