Mícheál Nagle

Biography:

Mícheál is a proud Corkman who hails from the small village of Killavullen in North Cork. Having initially studied a degree in English and History at UCC, Mícheál went on to do a Masters in International Entrepreneurship Management at the University of Limerick. On the back of this masters Mícheál started working with Paddy Power in April 2010 and has been there ever since.

Mícheál has played a key part in Paddy Power becoming one of the leading marketing brands in the UK & Ireland in his eight years at the company. He started off as a one man social team, just when people first started using Facebook & Twitter, and then grew a highly talented team around him.

Mícheál created Paddy Power’s famous tone of voice on social and helped grown the company into one of the leading social contentbrands in the world. If you look at any major marketing campaign from Paddy Power over the last eight years, you can be assured that Micheál was involved in it somehow. Whether it was the Sky Tweeting Campaign at the 2012 Ryder Cup in Medinah, or the Deforestation Campaign at the 2014 World Cup or Paddy’s Boat Party or Gay Goals at this year’s World Cup, Mícheál has been involved in some of the most successful marketing campaigns of any Irish company in the last decade.

Today, Mícheál is the Head of Social & Digital Content at Paddy Power and heads up a 12 person team who create outstanding long-form and short-form content for Paddy Power’s social channels and Paddy Power News on a daily basis. A passionate sports fan, Mícheál lives and breathes the Paddy Power brands. Mícheál is the proud husband of Brenda and father of 10 month Lucy and when he’s not at work at Paddy Power, you’ll find him at home with the girls, attending a Cork hurling match or shouting at Liverpool and the San Francisco 49ers on telly!
