Biography

Michael Spirito is a founding partner of Sapphire Sport, the first-of-its-kind venture firm that brings together the capital and industry experience of premier global sporting, media and lifestyle brands, including City Football Group, AEG, Sinclair, adidas, and principal owners and investors from franchises in all five major U.S. sports leagues. Michael is currently a member of the board of directors at Aglet, Buzzer, Fevo, Flowhaven, and Overtime and an observer at GreenPark and Mixhalo.

Previously, Michael led digital media and business development across the portfolio of 22 FOX regional sports networks, and helped build and sell YES to FOX for $3.8BN in 2014. While at YES, Michael was responsible for several initiatives including launching the first ever authenticated streaming product in U.S. sport. Michael has additionally served as an early stage investor in and advisor to Bonobos, Trunk Club, Tecovas, Billie, RotoQL, Drone Racing League, Cargo and Boom.

Michael graduated from Amherst College and the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
