Kerry has been successful at building companies with lucrative exits, leading high-
profile organizations in driving transformational change and achieving exceptional
results leading business operations in a Fortune 500 corporation.
Kerry is passionate about investing and building innovative companies that follow
disciplined management strategies, empower diverse teams and are respected
ambassadors to the communities they serve.
In her current role as Founder and CEO of EmpwrU, Kerry and her team of investors
focus on building and investing in NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) sports tech
companies that leverage educational resources with marketplace opportunities.
As the Founder and CEO of KP Sports, Kerry led the company to successful acquisition
by the industry leader, Learfield IMG. As the largest collegiate sports marketing
company, Learfield IMG represents about 200 of the top collegiate sports programs’
multimedia and licensing rights.
As the President and CEO of USA Gymnastics, Kerry was brought in to transform an
organization facing extraordinary crises. Kerry’s unprecedented and decisive actions
had a profound impact in moving the organization toward an athlete-centric culture.
Kerry consistently led high performing and profitable business operations for Pitney
Bowes, Inc. the Fortune 500 industry leader in digital office systems and solutions.
Kerry earned both her MBA in International Management and Marketing and a BA in
Communications with honors at the University of New Mexico. As an Adjunct Professor,
Kerry has taught classes in leadership, strategy, and marketing.
In addition to her recent induction into the Hall of Fame at the University of New Mexico
Anderson School of Management, Kerry has received awards and honors for being an
innovative and empowering leader throughout her career. She is an investor and mentor
with the Indy Techstars Sports Accelerator, Stadia Ventures, IU Angel Network, Vision
Tech Partners and other prominent investor and mentor networks.
